Research Organization NU, European Faculty of Law
The European Faculty of Law of New University (NU, Evro-PF) places great emphasis on research activities in addition to its educational mission, as this is a key part of its core purpose. As a scientific research institution, the faculty is recognized both within Slovenia and in the broader international research and academic community.
NU, Evro-PF actively promotes interdisciplinary research and is engaged in international research projects, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the exchange of experiences on a global scale. It also encourages active participation of postgraduate students in research projects, thereby enabling them to gain practical experience and develop their research skills.
NU, Evro-PF is registered with the Slovenian Public Agency for Research and Innovation Activities (ARIS) in the register of research organizations (RO) under registration number 2629.

Researchers participate in various national basic and applied research projects. In addition, they also lead or collaborate in international projects, primarily European (EU) research projects. The researchers publish the results of their work in both domestic and international scientific journals.

The Institute for Real Estate Management at the European Faculty of Law, New University, is the first transdisciplinary institution in Slovenia established for real estate research. Its mission is to contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in the interdisciplinary field of real estate, which encompasses legal, economic, technical, social, and organizational dimensions.

The Institute carries out its research and development activities in the form of programmes and projects, primarily focused on basic and applied research.
Basic research is conducted mainly in the following areas: property relations within individual countries or the European Union, the development and functioning of the real estate market in Slovenia and Europe, real estate issues concerning spatial and environmental development of the country and the European Union, as well as issues related to welfare, societal development, and national identity.
Applied research covers the following areas: international legal aspects of European real estate law, institutional aspects of European spatial and environmental law, real estate rights law, European financial and real estate law, social psychology of real estate issues, and the development of real estate management.
